Coral Reef Fish:
The Verde Island Passage is home to over 1,700 species of coral reef fish, including pygmy seahorses, rare pipe fish, eagle rays, and various angler fish.
Corals:
The Verde Island Passage contains over 300 species of corals, including stony corals, soft corals, and gorgonian.
Invertebrates:
The Verde Island Passage hosts over 10,000 species of invertebrates, including molluscs, crustaceans, and echinoderms.
Whales and Dolphins:
More than 20 species of whales and dolphins can be found in the Verde Island Passage, including sperm whales, dolphins, and porpoises.
The Three P is visited every year by divers and underwater photographers from over 40 countries around the world, and has developed expertise in anticipating the wishes of its guests in every way. They know and understand their visitors and do everything to make every dive experience unique and unforgettable.
A small but efficient team takes care of everything, and from the moment you arrive, you’ll notice that like-minded people are at work here—a family-run business. A few spacious rooms, some beautiful bungalows right by the water, an in-house restaurant on the covered terrace on the first floor, and a few smiling boys juggling diving tanks. You’ll quickly feel right at home here.
Now, about the diving— we have never seen such top-notch guides anywhere. They are perfectly trained to find even the tiniest creatures. Dives are done with a maximum of four divers, and there’s no scrambling among photographers. The guide takes you to one subject while the other divers are guided to a different one, then you swap. You have all the time in the world to photograph these quirky, beautiful nudibranchs. We photographed "things" that were unrecognizable, maybe 3-4 mm in size, and only after reviewing the pictures did we see what these lovely creatures were. It’s incredible what macro opportunities are offered here. If this is your thing, you have to go.
The Three P also offers Blackwater dives, though unfortunately, we didn’t have good conditions and had to skip them. Others who came before us had better luck and captured some fantastic shots. Well, we’ll surely come back again.
