Diving in Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Indonesia, is world famous for its spectacular underwater world. The park, which lies between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, offers an impressive variety of marine life and dramatic underwater landscapes. With over 1,000 species of fish and 260 species of coral, the park is a global hotspot of marine biodiversity. This includes reef dwellers such as angelfish and clownfish, as well as schools of mackerel and snappers. Encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, barracudas and tuna are commonplace, as are large turtles and macro.

The 27m Duyung Baru is a traditional Indonesian phinisi that offers year-round liveaboards in the Komodo National Park, South Sulawesi and Wakatobi regions. With only 4 cabins on board to accommodate a maximum of 8 guests, the Duyung Baru offers a very private and personal liveaboard experience. Each of the tastefully decorated cabins has air conditioning and a private bathroom. Guests can relax on comfortable sun loungers or make themselves comfortable in the salon/dining area. The heart of the Duyung Baru lies in the kitchen, where fresh food is prepared throughout the day. With an Indonesian theme and hints of western flavors, guests can enjoy freshly prepared meals and snacks throughout the day.

The dive deck offers ample space for storing equipment and putting on dive gear. The ideal dive boat for family and friends.

Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Indonesia, is located between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. It comprises 29 islands, including the main islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as surrounding marine areas. The park is known worldwide as the home of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard in the world.

In addition to the unique wildlife on land, the park offers an impressive underwater world with an extraordinary biodiversity. Coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass meadows are home to numerous species of fish, sea turtles, manta rays and sharks.
