Belize Exploration – Lighthouse Reef, Half Moon Caye, and Turneffe Reef (Belize - Belize)

Guests are picked up by a uniformed crew member at Belize City (BZE) International Airport and transported to the yachts. Boarding is available on Saturdays between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. At 6:00 PM, the yacht departs for its night anchorage in preparation for diving on Sunday morning. After a full week of diving, the Belize Aggressor III or IV returns to the docks of Radisson Ft. George in Belize City on Friday afternoon after lunch. Check-out is on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM, and the return transfer to Belize City International Airport takes place that morning.

Belize is a paradise for wall diving. Clear walls like Painted Wall, Half Moon Caye Wall, and Quebrada are adorned with massive purple gorgonians and huge orange elephant ear sponges. Moray eels, lobsters, and tiny arrow crabs hide in every crevice, crack, cave, and tunnel of these stunning coral formations. These are just some of the things you will see at Lighthouse Reef, Half Moon Caye, and Turneffe Reef.

Every Saturday at 6:00 PM, the luxurious Belize Aggressor departs from the docks of Radisson Ft. George for a hassle-free week of diving at Lighthouse Reef, Half Moon Caye, and the famous Blue Hole. The mystical Blue Hole, a collapsed freshwater cave system, is approximately 1000 feet in diameter and over 400 feet deep. The Blue Hole was made famous by marine pioneer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who declared it one of the top ten dive sites in the world. In 1971, he brought his ship, the Calypso, to the Blue Hole to map its depths. As guests descend into the Blue Hole, they will see stunning vertical stalactite formations.

Liveaboard diving in Belize begins on Sunday morning and ends on Friday before lunch when the Belize Aggressor III or IV returns to port. From Sunday to Thursday, unlimited diving is available throughout the day, with a night dive each evening. On Friday, a half-day of diving is offered. A trip to this Central American paradise is not complete without visiting Belize’s Mayan ruins, taking a cave tubing trip through the jungle, or enjoying a canopy tour through the treetops. To fully enjoy the wonders of Belize and its corner of the Caribbean, you should extend your vacation by a few days. On Saturday, you can use the pool and bar area of the Radisson Ft. George Hotel free of charge.
