During the dives with the Cayman Aggressor IV, divers explore fascinating underwater landscapes such as the steep walls and wrecks of Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Highlights include the Russian destroyer, Bloody Bay Wall, Stingray City, Northwall, Southwall, the wreck of the Kittiwake and Doc Polson.

The waters around the Cayman Islands are home to an impressive variety of marine life, including barracudas, turtles, eagle rays, reef sharks, groupers, stingrays, moray eels and tarpons. The diving programme includes at least five diving days with the possibility of night dives. The Cayman Islands are one of the best destinations for spectacular wall and wreck dives in the Caribbean.

The M/V Cayman Aggressor IV is a 33 metre (108 foot) liveaboard that offers seven-day diving expeditions around the Cayman Islands all year round. It has nine recently modernised, air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms. These include a spacious master suite with king-size bed, six deluxe cabins with twin beds and two cabins with bunk beds. Guests can relax in a spacious indoor lounge and dining area or enjoy the spacious, partially covered sundeck with sun loungers, a Jacuzzi, bar service and a CD and stereo system.

For maximum comfort, the Cayman Aggressor IV offers a large bathing platform with individual equipment compartments, air and Nitrox filling stations, rinse tanks and a camera table with low-pressure air hoses. Two hot freshwater showers are also available.

On board, the dedicated crew looks after the well-being of up to 18 guests and guarantees first-class service. Guests are spoilt with a varied selection of American and local specialities. Soft drinks, iced tea, beer and wine are included in the price.

Best of the Cayman Islands (Georgetown - Georgetown)

Guests arriving on Saturday from 11:30am to 6pm will be greeted at the airport by a Cayman representative who will assist you with your luggage and a taxi at the check-in station.

He will be wearing a Cayman Aggressor IV hat and Cayman Aggressor IV shirt and will have the guest's name on a sign.

If you are already on Grand Cayman, please make your way to Cayman Aggressor IV after 4:00 pm.

Passengers can arrive until the last flight on Saturday evening. Airport transfers are not included in the cost of your charter. At the end of the charter, the captain will help you organise transport to the airport or hotel if you are extending your stay.

The itinerary

Over the course of the week, you can immerse yourself in all areas of Grand Cayman, the Russian Destroyer in Cayman Brac and the Bloody Bay Wall in Little Cayman.

The itinerary depends entirely on wind and weather. Unlimited diving is offered on all dives from the mother ship.

Diving begins on Sunday morning and ends around noon on Friday when the Aggressor returns to harbour.

The yacht offers up to five dives per day (2 on the last day) including night dives.

The staff will host a cocktail party at 18:00 for guest appreciation at sunset, followed by dinner ashore.
Check-out on Saturday morning is at 8am. Transport to Grand Cayman airport or a local hotel near the yacht can be arranged.

Throughout the week there is the opportunity to go ashore for swimming, snorkelling and beachcombing.

The last dive takes place on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are advised to wait 24 hours before flying after the last dive.

Geographical location

The Cayman Islands are a group of British overseas islands in the western Caribbean. They are located south of Cuba and north-west of Jamaica. The three main islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman cover an area of approx. 264 km² and are part of the Cayman Ridge, an undersea mountain range.

Climate

The Cayman Islands have a tropical maritime climate with warm temperatures between 24 and 30°C all year round. The dry season lasts from November to April, while the rainy season from May to October brings increased rainfall and higher humidity. There is a risk of hurricanes between June and November.

Inhabitants and living conditions

The population is around 70,000, the majority of whom live on Grand Cayman. The population is multicultural, with British, African, Jamaican and Latin American roots. Living conditions are above average for the Caribbean, with a high standard of living, a stable economy and a modern healthcare system. The crime rate is comparatively low.

Economy

The Cayman Islands are a major financial centre and a tax haven, making them one of the wealthiest territories in the Caribbean. In addition to offshore banking and international financial services, tourism - especially diving tourism - also plays a major role. Other economic sectors include property, trade and shipping.

Religion

The majority of the population is Christian, with followers of various denominations, including Anglicans, Baptists, Catholics and Adventists. Religious values play an important role in social life.

Position in the Caribbean

The Cayman Islands are economically one of the most prosperous territories in the Caribbean and an important player in the financial world. Politically, they are a British Overseas Territory, but enjoy autonomous self-government. In the region, they are known for their economic stability, high quality of life and first-class diving areas.

The archipelago is particularly popular with diving tourists as it offers some of the best dive sites in the world, including Stingray City, Bloody Bay Wall and the Kittiwake Wreck Diving Expedition.
